SKIP Ministries at Redeemer UMC partners with SKIP Community Resources, Inc. to provide enrichment programs to help children break the cycle of becoming incarcerated like their parent(s). The focus is to provide them with sessions that teach them christian values to become outstanding citizens. The families come together to support each other in prayer, educational enrichment activities, tutoring, prevention of cyberbullying, and any other social abnormalities. The families are exposed to cultural diversity by visiting a variety of museums and events to broaden their sense of connections to society as a whole. The families also participate in Redeemer UMC outreach projects in an effort to make a difference. SKIP Ministries usually meet the 3rd Saturday of each month from September through May at 12:30pm. Redeemer UMC host a back to school event in August for the children before they start of the school year.
